It's no wonder that the Amalfi coast is so often hailed as the most beautiful coast in the entire Mediterranean. Around every turn of the famous "road of a thousand bends", one catches a new view of ancient fishing towns clinging to the rugged bluffs like mother-of-pearl sea creatures left behind by gargantuan tides. Visit Positano, Amalfi, Ravello and Capri, walking in the footsteps of the Romans who came here to build their villas. Follow paths carved into the rock that were once the sole access to isolated villages set among the cliffs. Afterwards, luxuriate above the crystal sea from an Amalfi terrazza or explore the romantic, twisting alleys of Positano.

Day one: Your guide meets you in Naples for a walking tour of the historic center of this fascinating and colorful ancient metropolis, where you walk across layers upon layers of over two thousand years of history.
Day two: In the morning, you transfer to Positano, stopping along the way for a tour of Pompeii with an expert guide and a visit to the charming seaside town of Sorrento.
Day three: Your walk today takes you along the aptly named Sentiero degli Dei (Path of the Gods) with stupendous views out over the sea and the coastline as far as the isle of Capri.
Day four: Today you cross by boat to Capri, for a walking tour of the island. Time permitting, you can ride the cable car to Mount Solario, Capri's highest point with astounding vistas.
Day five: You start this morning from Ravello, one of Italy's most beautifully situated villages, and walk to Amalfi, with its charming, twisting alleyways and shops.
Day six: Your guide helps you on your way to your next destination with a transfer back to Naples.

Richard and I had a very SPECIAL vacation to Italy and the Amalfi coast. Your tour arrangements for us were flawless. Very nice hotels and great service. Our tour guide, Giuseppe, took great care of us! I cannot say enough nice things about him. There isn't ANYTHING about our trip that didn't go smoothly and enjoyably; Giuseppe was always concerned that we have a great time - his efficiency (extremely organized), and cultural-historical knowledge along with a pleasant personality made each day a wonderful adventure! We are glad we chose Girosole! Thank you so much - I must do it again! Is there any place more beautiful and fun to visit than the Amalfi coast and Positano? And the island of Capri?
